PetHealthLog

Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 9, 2026

PetHealthLog is a local-first pet health record app. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles and how it is used.

Information you enter

You may enter pet names and details, vaccines, parasite prevention, medications, weights, vet visits, costs, notes, dates, and daily health observations. You may also choose photos for pet profiles, vet visits, or daily notes.

Where your information is stored

PetHealthLog stores records and selected photos locally in the app's storage on your device. The app does not require an account and does not operate a developer-owned account or health-data server.

You may optionally export and import a backup through the app's iCloud Drive container. This is a user-initiated backup feature, not real-time database synchronization or family sharing. Files stored in iCloud are also subject to Apple's iCloud terms and privacy practices.

Photos

Photos are selected only when you choose them through Apple's Photos picker. They are stored for the related record on your device or included in a backup you explicitly create. PetHealthLog does not upload your photos to a developer-owned server.

Notifications

If you enable local reminders, PetHealthLog schedules notifications on your device for dates you record. Notifications are optional, can be disabled in Settings or iOS Settings, and are not used for advertising or marketing.

Subscriptions and purchases

Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple's StoreKit. PetHealthLog reads Apple's verified subscription entitlement so it can unlock the relevant in-app features. We do not operate a developer receipt server and do not receive your payment card details.

Tracking and analytics

PetHealthLog does not use advertising, cross-app tracking, or third-party analytics SDKs. We do not sell your information or use pet health records for advertising or profiling.

Sharing

PetHealthLog does not share your records with us or with third parties for advertising. If you use Apple's share sheet to export a PDF or backup, the destination you choose will receive the information you deliberately share.

Retention and deletion

Your local records remain on your device until you delete them in the app or remove the app's data. You control backup files in iCloud Drive and can delete them through Apple's Files/iCloud interfaces. Because PetHealthLog does not operate a user account or developer-owned health-data server, there is no developer account to close.

Children

PetHealthLog does not knowingly collect personal information from children and does not require an account. The app does not include advertising, social features, or public posting.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app's data practices change. The latest version will be published on this page with a new update date.
